Recovery Music (edited)
So what ended up soothing me best when I was trying to get to sleep under massive amounts of discomfort and waiting for the pain meds to kick in? Two things.
1. Patriotic English Hymns (Jerusalem, I Vow to Thee My Country, etc)
2. Vintage Radio recordings of My Favorite Husband starring Lucille Ball. (pre-Desilu)
If you’re curious, listen here.

theblacklacedandy asked: Since you put a list of films for recovery, may I ask what is your music for recovery? (I'm sure you taste in music is most delightful)

Comic orders closed! →
A big sloppy wet sacrilegious Valentine’s kiss to all of you. I’m no longer taking commissions or comic orders, but I’m going to try to make this comic fabulous enough to make available in the future. We’ll see.
Keep your eyes on this blog for previews as it gets done.
Any suggestions for what sort of porn should pop up here when I get to 500 followers?

ska-asks asked: I'm sure you're going to get a deluge of these things after that last ask, but good luck, good luck, good luck! You're a marvelous artist (even those doodles are lovely and hilarious) and a wonderful individual, I wish you the very fastest recovery and hopefully lots of fun stuff to read etc. while you're patching up! I'm sure it's eye-roll-making to get called...
phoenixtart asked: Imagine my surprise and excitement to see some very familiar looking artwork waiting for me on my dashboard... You don't know me, but I followed you from the early days of My Life in Blue religiously on Livejournal and am just overjoyed to see you popping up on tumblr like magic. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I hope to unbroke myself enough to help fund it. :)

Lovely fan art for your enjoyment
geekquality:
Among the many talented people I know is my friend Fyodor, who lives in New York with his equally lovely and talented husband, Lawrence. They are illustrators and performers, working on individual projects, as well as a comic book together, Baritarian Boy. Note: Some of the content posted on their Tumblr blogs/comic, while no less delightful, is occasionally NSFW.
Fan art is not...
okaytight asked: By chance, one of the people I follow reblogged the beautiful artwork of your husband today, and I was able to rediscover your own work. When I was a young teenager, My Life in Blue helped a lot in shaping how I thought of people (in a very positive way!) and, honestly, helped me come to terms with sexuality in general and how it pertained to me. I just wanted to thank you so much for being...
bad-mojo:
I’m gonna rant a little about a very important issue and I’m tired and my words aren’t coming out right.
I don’t know how many people following me know this, but to legally change your gender in Sweden, you need to be force sterilized. You are not allowed to save your eggs or sperm to have any future children. You are not allowed to be married.
These laws are exactly 40 years old,...
Surgery Fund Page Updated →
Just a heads up - I’ve closed the commission part of my fund because it’s getting close to the end and I want to make sure I can finish all of them before March! But you can still order copies of the comic!
Love to you all!

Site Update! →
I see a few people were having trouble getting their commission requests in through Paypal, so I added a write-in form to the button on the site! Now you can write in what you’d like your 5x7 commission to be, if you decide to do the $50 donation (which also includes a copy of the comic once it is complete!)
If you already ordered this and didn’t have a space to write the commission...
repository-of-lost-things asked: Greetings! I really would like to commission you (oh my...) as part of your top surgery fundraiser. However, I'm not quite sure where to send you commission information... please do let me know as soon as possible.
thaeodora asked: About this comic project, I live in Canada, so how is shipping going to work for those of us outside the US? It also occurs to me this might be a pfd thing and shipping might not even matter, as it will be emailed. Mostly I'm just trying to figure out if I need to have it shipped to my grandmothers or not. And on a unrelated note, do you have a title in mind yet for this comic? Also, I...
chromeoxide asked: Today I came home to find my copy of Baritarian Histories had arrived in the mail. I'd been having an awful day, but reading it has cheered me beyond reason. So I just wanted to say to you and Fyodor, you are amazing, thank you for sharing Baritaria with us!
